前期第一・第二・第三系列主遷移金属-EDTAキレートの構造比較

六座・6配位は主要化学種か?

抄録

エチレンジアミン四酢酸(EDTA)でキレートされた前期第一系列、第二系列、第三系列主遷移金属錯体の結晶構造を調査し、よく知られた六座配位6配位(6&6)の化学種がメジャーかを明らかにした。前期第一系列遷移金属(Sc,Ti,V,Cr,Mn)-EDTAでは、28種類中、6&6種は3種しか見つからなかった。一方、第二系列主遷移金属-EDTAの50種類、第三系列主遷移金属-EDTAの15種類において、6&6種は見つからなかった。なお、後期第一系列遷移元素では、99種類中、31種類の6&6種が存在することが、これまでの研究で明らかになっている。したがって、よく知られている六配位構造のものは、構造比較の結果、主遷移金属-EDTA錯体ではそれほどメジャーではなく、むしろマイナーな構造であることがわかった。
