背景
人間の表現行動、とりわけ音声表現と、それに対する受け手の認知・感情・評価の過程は、音声科学、心理学、認知科学、言語学、社会心理学などの複数の分野において個別に研究されてきた。しかし、表現者側の操作と受け手側の反応を同一の分析枠組みのもとで接続し、両者を媒介する変数と調整する変数を整理した統合的モデルは、十分に整備されているとは言いがたい。
目的
本稿の目的は、既存の学際的知見を整理・接続し、表現者の操作から受け手の反応に至る過程、およびその関係を調整する文脈的・関係的変数を明示した「表現―反応モデル(Expression–Response Model)」を理論的に構築することである。 方法 音声科学・感情音声研究、語用論および社会的知覚、対話研究とアラインメント、予測処理の四領域について主要な先行研究を整理し、各領域が扱ってきた範囲、未解決の論点、測定変数、および本モデルへの接続点を対応づけた。ただし本稿は、事前登録された系統的レビューの手続きに従うものではなく、理論構築を目的とした選択的レビューである。
主要な提案
第一に、一方向的な伝達過程を記述する静的受容モデル(Phase 1)を提示する。
第二に、受け手の反応を表現者がモニタリングし表現を逐次調整する動的適応モデル(Phase 2, Interactive Feedback Model)を、Phase 1 の拡張仮説として位置づける。
第三に、日常語である「伝わる」を、了解度、理解、意味解釈、感情反応、情報源評価、行動意図・関与という測定可能な下位概念に分解し、操作的定義を与える。
第四に、これらを検証するための仮説群(H1–H5)と、三つの研究段階からなる実験プログラムおよび解析方針を設計する。
第五に、本モデルが既存知見の再編にとどまらず新たに提案する理論的関係を三点として明示する。
すなわち、(i) 表現者の主観的操作と客観的表現特徴を別水準として分離し、その不一致自体を測定対象とすること、
(ii) 説得研究における事前期待の効果と、音声知覚研究における音響手がかりの効果を、期待が音響手がかりの解釈を方向づけるという交差仮説として結合すること、
(iii) 「伝わる」の下位概念を同一操作に対する並列アウトカムとして同時測定し、下位概念間のトレードオフを検証可能にすることである。
位置づけ
本稿の独自性は新たな実証的事実の発見ではなく、既存知見の統合と定式化にある。本稿は新たな学問領域の創始を宣言するものではなく、散在する既存知見を「表現者―受け手」の相互作用軸で再編し、実証研究へ接続するための理論的土台を提供する試みである。提案モデルの各パスは支持の度合いが一様ではなく、とくに動的フィードバックに関するパスは今後の検証を要する段階にある。
