Based on our previous exploratory research, this study aims to construct an analytical framework for elucidating the Imabari maritime cluster. Based on existing research, we identified types of industrial clusters and examined how the Imabari Maritime Cluster fits into that category. We then positioned existing research on Japanese industrial clusters and industrial agglomerations in the field of business administration within these industrial cluster types. Then, we selected an analytical framework for the Imabari maritime cluster, confirmed its potential and limitations, theoretically considered what is needed to overcome those limitations, and concluded by presenting an analytical framework that adds the perspectives of community capital and entrepreneurial activity I and II to the industrial cluster.
