Measurement is often regarded as a special process that interrupts or modifies the dynamical evolution of physical systems.
In wave-based descriptions, however, observable quantities are fundamentally associated with phase relations.
In this paper, we present a structural interpretation of measurement as a phase selection operation.
We show that measurement outcomes arise from the selective retention of specific phase configurations, while unobserved phase information is effectively discarded.
This viewpoint provides a unified interpretation of measurement, decoherence, and classical emergence without introducing additional postulates.
