環境適応のための適切な位置計算の提案

異種ハードウェアを利用するには、プログラマがOpenMP、CUDA、OpenCLを使いこなせる技術力が必要である。これを基に、私は、一度書いたコードをハードウェアに合わせて自動的に変換、構成し、高性能に動作させることを可能にする環境適応型ソフトウェアを提案してきた。しかし、オフロードデバイスに合わせてコードを変換することは検討されてはいるものの、オフロードしたアプリケーションをどこに配置すれば、価格や応答時間といったユーザの要求を満たすことができるかという検討はされていなかった。本稿では、環境適応型ソフトウェアの新しい要素として、線形計画法を用いて適切な配置を計算する方法を検討する。アプリケーションの種類やユーザの要求などのいくつかの条件を変えた場合に、シミュレーション実験によりアプリケーションを適切に配置できることを確認する。
